Spending Principles from the American Rescue Plan (ARP)

Congress recently passed the American Rescue Plan (ARP) to support Tennessee’s schools with an investment that is nearly eight times the amount spent annually on its Title I program. This memo encourages district leaders to employ these federal dollars to not only address the enormity of the moment, but also to lead the way on more innovative approaches in meeting the needs of students, especially in the long-term.
