New Look for TennesseeCAN. Same Focus—KIDS!
Today, TennesseeCAN launched a new website, tn-can.org, in order to share resources that help empower education stakeholders across our state.
“We’re launching a new brand and website at TennesseeCAN for a new education era. With the 114th General Assembly’s passage of the Education Freedom Act, and $580 million in new investments proposed by Governor Bill Lee for our students, Tennessee is ensuring students have an even brighter and more promising future by both strengthening public schools and expanding school choice for families,” said Chelsea Crawford, Executive Director of TennesseeCAN. “It’s an exciting time for education policy in Tennessee, and while we have a new look, TennesseeCAN’s focus remains the same – what’s best for kids!”
For years, we’ve been working to ensure that every child in Tennessee has access to a great education, no matter their zip code or background. Our advocacy has already led to big wins for students.
Looking ahead, we’re ready to take on the next big challenges—whether it’s expanding access to high-quality schools, ensuring every child can read on grade level or fighting for policies that put kids first.
We believe in better for every student. That means:
- We hold high expectations for students and teachers, and we ensure they are well-supported to meet those expectations.
- We have high quality and diverse school options for where and how students learn, and families are enabled and empowered to choose the education option that’s best for their students.
- We have strong measurement, performance incentives and accountability in place for schools and systems to ensure the academic success of all students.
Tennessee families are invited to follow us on our social media channels on X, Instagram (newly launched), Facebook & LinkedIn.
